Shoes- Marks and Spencer
We are having a ridiculous heatwave in England this week, so I took the opportunity to drag Matt out of the house for a summery date day-out. We drove to Knutsford, only a short while from where we live, and soaked up the sun a little. We went for seafood at a lovely restaurant called Loch Fyne and went for a stroll through Tatton Park. It was unbelievably hot and amazing to sit by the lake and force the significant other to take pictures of me.
This outfit is nothing special. My DIY flag shorts are looking pretty beat up after a year of wear and washing, but all in all, if you have to go out in the ridiculous temperatures of an English three day summer, I'd go out in this little number.
I've included a few little bonus pictures of our meal. I had a potted mackerel with crouts and piri piri prawns, and Matt had an (unpictured) salmon fish-cake with chips. If you live in Cheshire, you no doubt know how lovely Knutsford town is. The restaurants make me incredibly envious of any friends or acquaintances I know who live there. If you're up north and around sunny Cheshire, Knutsford is a lovely spot. Hardly off the beaten track but worth a look!
The sun, of course, usually results in getting the Pimms out. Hubba hubba.
My boyfriend also (accidentally) surprised me by finally letting the cat out of the bag about my birthday present he's been eluding to for ages....he's taking me to see Leonard Cohen at the end of August! I'm SO thrilled and excited!
Enjoy the sun fellahs!
